Say hello to Faisha and Leonard – I photographed their engagement session early April over at Washington Square, downtown Philadelphia and then we headed over to the Loews Hotels, where their relationship started after meeting at an event, to finish up the session. The weather was perfect and they were such a pleasure to photograph. Below are a few of my favorite images -

Mahlet and John are such a down to earth and easy going couple, I absolutely loved shooting their engagement session and getting to know them.

Biola and Kunle are good friends of mine and they are getting married two weeks before me in fabulous San Juan Capistrano California! For a change I get to be on the other side of the camera as I’ll have a role in their wedding and I’m pretty excited about it : )

It’s always nice to have someone share the same amazing experiences as you at the same time i.e. wedding planning – Biola and I have been dress shopping together, gone on online shoe stalking missions, discussed DIY projects and have generally had a lot of fun so far planning our weddings.

Their engagement session was a lot of fun and took place close to the Philadelphia Art Museum along Boat House Row in Philadelphia which is a historic site located  on the east bank of the Schuylkill that consists of a row of boathouses housing racing shells (It looks absolutely gorgeous at night). I love how the pictures look like it was a nice and warm day when in actual fact were were freezing!

Congratulations Biola and Kunle – I’m so excited for you guys and I can’t wait to be a part of your special day – Love you loads :)

Kylie shared her and Jim’s engagement story with me -

Jim and I met four years ago, through friends. We had actually been in the same place at the same time several times before we officially met.  Through separate friends, we used to spend time at the same house in Manayunk.  Jim used to stop by the house after a bar-tending shift to hang out, eventually leaving to go out with other friends.  One night, he came over after his shift and planned on going out with friends.  After finally getting a chance to talk to him for a while, he left to meet his friends, and did not plan on coming back.  To my pleasant surprise, he arrived back at the house a few short hours later.  That night, we spent time talking about everything and anything.  And so it began.  Through our relationship, he has become my partner and my best friend. Exactly three years and one week later, he proposed in the most wonderful way.  At my parents house, with my mom and dad there to celebrate with us.  I could not have imagined a better way to be get engaged.

I just love engagement stories! Congratulations guys and I wish you all the best in your upcoming marriage. Looking forward to April!
