For Nadege and Joe’s engagement session, we went over to Princeton and took pictures around Palmers Square. I absolutely love shooting at Princeton as there are just so many great back drops for photographs. Nadege and Joe brought huge red ballons (so fun) as photo props and despite the insanely windy day we managed to get some great shots!
I also thought it would be pretty cool going forward if I shared couple’s engagement stories on the blog! Pictures mean so much more with a story behind them :). So here’s Nadege’s engagement story -
A little back story, Joseph and I dated in high school for 2 years and then rekindled our relationship in 2003. We’ve been together ever since and I couldn’t wait for us to start our lives together. Meanwhile I had been waiting anxiously for the proposal and had already starting a little pre-planning…(what girl hasn’t?)
Joseph proposed on the night of our high school anniversary, February 17th. We weren’t doing anything special just watching a basketball game. Before he left my house, he suggested that I go get ready for bed and then we could say our good nights. I went up, took out my contacts, wrapped up my hair and came back with sweats on- not my hottest. We were standing in the door way and he gave me a hug then said he wanted to ask me a question… (OH BOY IT’S ABOUT TO HAPPEN!!!) I said “ You have a question to ask me??!!”. He then gets down on one knee and asked will I marry him? Well of course I was in semi-shock and just stared at my soon-to-be beautiful ring. I eventually said yes and then at 11 pm had to get fully dressed to go to his parent’s house to announce the good news.Princeton Wedding Photographe
One last thing, unbeknown to me the morning of the proposal he drove all the way to Baltimore where he purchased my ring to get it re-sized, then he drove all the way back to NJ to propose.
Congratulations Joe and Nadege – I can’t wait to Photograph your wedding next summer!
