I won a Photography contest in Philadelphia Magazine!

I submitted 5 images of mine to the Philadelphia Magazine Wedding Photography Contest – its a lifestyle magazine sold in at every newsstand and bookstore in Philadelphia & it’s five counties, South Jersey and Delaware and they also own Philadelphia Wedding Magazine! The contest was held in January and I didn’t think anything of my submissions until Kathryn called me tonight super excited on the phone because – I’d WON the Portrait Category!! (I totally forgot to go back and check the results in February!).

So I went to the website (click here) and found out my pictures were also nominated in the other 4 contest categories – Candid, Artistic, Still Life and Photographers Choice! I was even more stoked because the contest judges nominated pictures from some AMAZING area photographers whose work I totally love like Laura Novak, Kamilla Harris, Marie Labbancz and Sophia Negron!

I’m so excited to share this news on my blog and I’ll definately be entering the next contest whenever it opens up!
