I used to have a Canon SB400 and i made the mistake of giving it to my mum who wouldn’t give it back – so I made do with my Nikon D40 for my personal trips and outings (I had to squeeze into my handbag all the time and then struggle with pulling it out) – but then I went and bought a new pro camera and I didn’t need my D40 anymore so I sold it.
Anyways, I decided it was time for a new personal camera again so after doing a bit of researching and trying out a bunch of cameras I wound up buying another Canon point and shoot - the 10mp Canon SB790. The controls and settings are just like every other Canon point and shoot camera so I didn’t have anything new to learn and the picture quality is great (even in low light) – just like my SB400 but so much better – Take that mama!

It has a pretty impressive macro setting and i was suprised at how close up my macro pictures came out. It’s also so much more convenient to pull my little dainty petite SB790 out of my purse than my not so little not so dainty and not so petite D40 (I still love you with all my heart and you have a new amazing owner!).
A few people have asked me for point and shoot camera recommendations so here you go : )
I’ll be blogging pictures from Gen and Rob’s gorgeous wedding next so stay tuned and thanks for dropping by!
