Engagement Session ~ Myne + Chris

Meet Myne and Chris – I shot their engagement session in center city Philadelphia not too long. Myne brought the cutest props and we had a lot of fun!

Engagement Session ~ Mahlet + John

Mahlet and John are getting married in a few short weeks and so I thought I’d post their engagement session before their wedding takes place :) We shot this session downtown Philly, in Old City. It was a prefect warm day and the Cherry Blossom/ Magnolia Blossom trees were in full bloom. The fun part was that a lot of their session took place only a few blocks from my new soon to be home in the city!

Mahlet and John are such a down to earth and easy going couple, I absolutely loved shooting their engagement session and getting to know them.

Congratulations to you guys and I can’t wait till your wedding – It will be beautiful!

Engagement Session: Kylie + Jim

Meet Kylie and Jim. I photographed them last month in Manayunk PA and they will be getting married next April (I also photographed Kylie’s cousin Jeff and sister Meara this past summer!). They are both Eagles fan so it was only natural for them to take a couple pictures in their jerseys :) – I on the other hand am completely clueless about football and get a bit envious when everyone is talking football and I don’t have a clue. lol.

Kylie shared her and Jim’s engagement story with me -

Jim and I met four years ago, through friends. We had actually been in the same place at the same time several times before we officially met. Through separate friends, we used to spend time at the same house in Manayunk. Jim used to stop by the house after a bar-tending shift to hang out, eventually leaving to go out with other friends. One night, he came over after his shift and planned on going out with friends. After finally getting a chance to talk to him for a while, he left to meet his friends, and did not plan on coming back. To my pleasant surprise, he arrived back at the house a few short hours later. That night, we spent time talking about everything and anything. And so it began. Through our relationship, he has become my partner and my best friend. Exactly three years and one week later, he proposed in the most wonderful way. At my parents house, with my mom and dad there to celebrate with us. I could not have imagined a better way to be get engaged.

I just love engagement stories! Congratulations guys and I wish you all the best in your upcoming marriage. Looking forward to April!

Engagement Session: Doyin + Jimi

Doyin and Jimi are an awesome couple – and I just don’t say it because Doyin is a good friend of mine or because I’ve know Jimi for quite a while or because his sister is my really good friend either :) – I say it because they are truly an awesome couple and totally perfect for each other.

Doyin’s laugh is infectious – I’d call her “my pick me up” friend. I can talk to her when I feel down or feel like crap about something – a few minutes of conversation with her and my mood immediately changes for the better. She’s warm and caring and friendly and I love her for that!

One serious look from Jimi and I have to smile too lol – He’s the perfect calm and level headed guy. I couldn’t wish for anyone better for Doyin.

I wish you both all the best married life has to offer and I pray for all of God’s blessings on your union. I can’t wait to see you guys get married and to see Doyin in her fabulous dress – I love you both – Congratulations!

Emily + Ben featuring the wild bunch – aka Isaac, Gloria and Ian

This has been one of the most fun sessions I’ve done this year! Emily and Ben are getting married this October and decided to turn their engagement session in a fun family session. Emily will be gaining 3 fabulous new step kids come October and they couldn’t be more excited.

Photographing them was so much fun! The session took place around the famous Philadelphia Museum of Art and the weather was gorgeous.

Engagement Session: Shelby + Kevin

Meet Shelby and Kevin! They graduated this past May from Eastern University (where we shot this session) and will be getting married next month. The Eastern University college campus is such a beautiful location and made for some amazing pictures. It’s located on 92-acres with three lakes, wooded walking trails and wetlands. It previously belonged to a rich entrepreneur back in the day(late 1800′s early 1900′s) and he lived there with his family (I haven’t been able to find out who though).

After the wedding, Shelby and Kevin will be moving to Boston where Kevin will be attending Seminary School. Congratulations guys and I’m looking forward to your wedding!

Engagement Session: Nicole + Roosevelt

Here are some pictures from my banging session with Nicole and Roosevelt. We started off at the Kimmel Performing Arts Center downtown Philly (a totally fab location) due to the threat of rain. We did a few shots outside and then decided to hit up a bookstore for some fun but discrete (didn’t want to risk being kicked out lol) pictures. I had a great time photographing these two and did I mention Nicole is a huge Michele Obama fan? You can so tell from the pictures : )

Engagement Session: Amy + David

Amy and David are getting married next month and last weekend brought perfect weather for an engagement session. Since they both conveniently live downtown Philadelphia, we headed over to Washington Square, a gorgeous location for photographs, to do the engagement session. They were extremely laid back and easy going and it was such a pleasure working with them.
